Workshop 1

Creative Writing: ‘Harping on about writing.’

Suited to all kinds of writing : after a discussion of approaches to writing, a range of different prompts incorporating the harp are explored, with the aim  to unlock  new ideas and fresh approaches and mindfulness. Structured by us or designed to suit your focus : poetry, character development etc, journaling, Yr 12 tasks. Content and outcomes are tailored to your requirements.

Workshop 2

Mindfulness : ‘Turning mirrors  into windows.’

Take the focus back to connecting with the world and self regulation. Can be ‘tuned in’ to wellbeing programs already in your school ( such as the Resilience project) or structured by us. Students are taken through a variety of mindfulness and meditation approaches: this includes physical activity, drawing and writing tasks with a take away reminder and has a non religious focus.

Workshop 3

Connections: ‘ Sit with Nature’

Suited to the creative arts- drawing,painting , sculpting classes – designed around your curriculum.Visually, the different harps can be a stimulus to The Arts and well as the amazing sound. A structured session to delve into those creative visuals included improvised and mindful music to respond to students’ artwork.

Recommended length 60 -90 minutes 25 students

 

Workshop 4

You decide : ‘Choose your own (harp) adventure’: totally tailored to your requirements

Staff PDs, small group focus for students needing further support ( can include ‘composing your own meditation music’), extension, EAL and more.

The possibilities here are endless and include sessions for your staff, small student group focus for further support, parents arriving before the end of the school day, make a suggestion! All with the support of mindfulness approaches.

Cost: A general guide is $550.00 AUD for a half day including GST
